How does it work?
Excess heat from farm buildings is used to heat water in the heat exchanger. That water is then pumped through the heat pump. The water cools and energy from the cooling process is transported via the heat pump to create a higher temperature, which can be used to heat water in a hot water tank or to heat buildings via radiators or underfloor heating.
Current oil consumption on the property: 15,000 litres per year.
1,500 metres of slurry pipes beneath the slurry channels
Annual savings of about DKK 55,000
Payback time approximately 3 years.
